Dear Friends of German Comedy,
Any plans of sending out the monthly bulletin nice and early have gone wrong again.
I would love to say I was too busy at the Edinburgh comedy trade fair but I was there for only a fortnight rather than for the whole shebang.
I wasn’t sure if there was a market at the Fringe for a two-hour show but it turns out there is! A massive thanks to everyone who came along to the Queen’s Hall for Eins, Zwei, DIY.
Playing at a venue that operates year-round rather than anything set up specifically for August meant there were none of the usual teething problems associated with Edinburgh, such as realising your venue doesn’t exist or the box office isn’t operational until three weeks into the run.
To make up for my good fortune karma decided to present me with palaver on my return when I found out the ticketing agency I use for the shows at the Betsey Trotwood had heavily oversold tickets for the new material night on September 11th. No idea what it is with that date..
Anyway, Brownpapertickets have since sorted it all out.
There you go, that’s enough self-indulgent drivel for one month. Expect another newsletter in September. With footage of the Edinburgh prize draw. And maybe even a joke.
PS: Please find below a list of all upcoming gigs. It would be great to see you at one of those.2015, Monthly Bulletins
